So our project was a little different, because we were wanting to convert a wood fireplace into an electric fireplace. My husband and youngest child have severe allergies. That was a little bit of a process, because we had to find a way to add wood beams to hold the fireplace inside the existing fireplace, and we had to have an electrician come and add an electric outlet to the back of the existing fireplace. But once we did that, this was a breeze to install! The only complaint I would make would be the sound it makes when it is heating. It sounds like a loud fan. That being said, we most often use it with just the look of a fireplace going and without the heat function. When we do use the heat function, I find that it is pretty wonderful to sit directly in front of, and it adds a nice bit of heat to the room.

This insert is so sleek and the options to choose color of both flames and logs is a nice touch as well! It didn’t fill the entire firebox, so my husband built a frame out of white Acek that he spray painted satin black (see pic). On high, heats our 13x20 MBR to 68 degrees from 60 in about an hour. Low heat setting is good to maintain overnight unless it’s the dead of winter. Remote works well and has all functions on it. Settings are also on the unit, itself, if remote gets misplaced.

Wanted a fireplace that could be wall mounted in my bathroom. Received the fireplace and it had a small glitch in one of the flames. Called warehouseschoice and they told us how to remedy it, and my husband did easily. Just perfect now. After wall mounting, husband decided he'd rather have it recessed in the wall. Spent a few days cutting into wall and recessed the unit. Everyone who has seen it has been impressed with it, and we couldn't be happier.

Really solid fireplace. Looks very nice - great looking flames. The install was pretty simple - biggest challenge was building a small header to carry the load (interior wall, though?) for the 2 16 on-center studs that I had to cut out. The heat output is exceptional considering it's only 4" deep.
Wife is now asking to install one into the bathroom above the tub when we remodel - she will never let me just crack a beer and watch the game, now will she??? I don't know how long it has been since I went golfing...

This is our 5th touchstone fireplace to install & every one is a 100% client pleaser. The heat output is exactly as stated in the description and it is very quiet. The remote is straight forward and simple to operate. The flames are realistic & the ability to use it with no heat in Texas is a huge bonus. This unit is easy to install provided you get the opening correct. We framed this one with 2x6 lumber and it worked fine but the ones we framed with 2x8 were roomier when plugging them in. Either way will work. This will not be our last one because every time we post one of these on our website or social media we have another request.

We chose this insert because it was the best combo of features/ size to fit our space and budget. Only a person who has never seen a wood burning fireplace before could mistake this for authentic. It might more closely resemble a gas insert, but the lack of depth is a giveaway. Still, our existing gas fireplace was a heat drain, and this insert makes the place feel more cozy, so we’re quite happy with it.

This little quarantine project added a lot of character to our home! This fireplace is so easy to install, you just pop it into the recess, secure it, and add the glass front. This winter I turn it on every evening for hours. It uses very little energy (if you don't use the heat function) so I can have it on all the time without worrying about utility bills!
We don't use the heating function on ours because we don't have a dedicated circuit for the outlet.

We installed this piece into our existing gas fireplace (which did not work). Our opening measures 36×28 and this fits great with just enough room on all sides to easily pull it out to clean, allow air vent, and not look tacky. I'm thrilled with how quiet it runs; I cannot hear it when I have the TV on. Also, I really like the safety features! There is a time, auto shut off, and a main power switch that must be on before any functions work. I really can't say enough about this product. It fit all of our needs and surpassed all of our expectations

My husband and I really wanted to add a fireplace to our bedroom but didn’t want to add a gas line. This fireplace is perfect for adding warmth and ambience to the space. I honestly think the company should put a different photo on their description because it looks much better in person than online. The flames look very realistic and the different settings help you find the just right look. We built an insert into the wall by cutting out some drywall and reframing the studs because we wanted it to sit flush against it. We are really happy with it!

The description and pics says it all. Just as described and no problems installing. Just to give you an idea of size this is a 75” TV with a width of 66” and I chose the 60” model. The glass I installed around is 12” x 3”. I installed this where my wood fireplace was. I cough like crazy around real wood fires anyway as it dries me out and I’m in AZ not much use for wood fire.

We looked around quite a bit for the right electric fireplace. We really just wanted something for aesthetics for a bedroom - and decided in the Luxury Electric Fireplace. The fireplace arrived on time - packaged very well. Installation was simple - the unit operates as described. While a nice feature - the warm air from the unit really doesn't do much. Overall - we are happy with the unit.
Installation tip - if the unit will be recessed at all (we did a stone surround) - you'll want to leave enough space at the top to removed the glass in case you need to remove the unit

Awesome product. Shipped as promised. Packaged to protect the product. To share some thoughts.....just pay attention to the dimensions and understand how it will fit if you go with the recessed installation option. Most walls are 2x4 walls with drywall, so most walls are going to be 4 3/8, or 4 1/2, deep. The depth of the firebox is 5 1/4. In order for the unit to fit flush to the wall, you will need to have the firebox extend out of the back wall. Or you can plan to add some accent wall material to the wall where you are mounting the fireplace. This is not an issue with the product. The product is great and works great. I just wanted to share my after installation thoughts so you can plan for your installation if you purchase the product. I would recommend adding some accent wall material to account for the difference so your fireplace can mount flush. The instructions were easy to follow, however, again, the flush mount installation requires some carpentry and possible drywall skills and associated tools. Or, plan to have it installed by a professional.

We've had this fireplace insert for three years and it works wonderfully. It's beautiful to look at, and easy to operate. We had our contractor install it when he did our wall, so I imagine it was extremely easy for him. We watched him installing it, and it actually looked like something we could've done ourselves, but he was doing the wall, so we had him install everything.
We've never had any issues. The only thing I'm not too happy with is the heat output. We don't use it very often, but when I have turned it on, it takes forever to heat up the area. Of course, this could be due to the large room, however, I wasn't even feeling heat coming out. So this isn't something I would be totally reliant upon for heat.
Other than that, its very beautiful and relaxing. We've received many compliments on it. I have had it running 75% of the time since we've owned it, and it runs great.

Love this fireplace!!! I’ve had it installed for 2 years and it still looks and works like new. It is beautiful and I have received many compliments on it. It was easy to install and I love being able to switch out the wood for the crystals for different decor looks. The heat function works wonderful, it can be used with or without heat. During a recent cold snap, my home heating system couldn’t keep up with the low temps, averaging around 6 degrees. When I turned the fireplace heater on, it easily raised our temp from 60 to 71, making my home comfortable. The glass does not get hot to the touch when heat is used and with 3 toddlers, this was a big concern for me. The glass face is also very durable as it has held up extremely well to my 3 littles occasionally crashing into it with all sorts of things over the years, not even a scratch! Overall, extremely pleased with this purchase and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a fireplace wall insert.

This is truly wonderful! We got rid of it old brick fireplace, and installed a new modern clean hardwire electric fireplace. Installation was like putting in a light fixture; very easy. We chose the wood instead of the crystals, it had both options. Out of all the fireplaces I looked at, this was the one with the most realistic looking wood. the heat put out is small however if you start it and let it set for about 30 minutes it does heat up a room quite nicely period some people complain about the fan but honestly it is very minimal you can barely hear it. You can change the colors to Blue, orange, or a combination of blue and orange. We keep the remote up on a little shelf right near it so we don't lose it, but in case we ever did it has buttons that is easily accessed on the upper right corner. We get the most compliments on this 42 inch electric fireplace than anything we've done in our family room. This was a great buy in the company had very good reviews so we ordered it here from Amazon. We also like that it had the option of just a standard plugin or a hardwire, we chose the hardwire.

Absolutely love it. I am someone who normally rely on other's review especially for on line purchases. So I wanted to provide feedback regarding this fireplace. It's really awesome. We just installed below our TV and it looks great. It really makes the ambiance of the room. The heat range is just fine but we were not expecting to heat up the whole basement with it. Just the area right in front of it where our sofas are. I like that you can have it on without the heat so you get to enjoy it while watching TV. Someone mentioned the orange color in the backdrop. I don't think it's a bad color. In our case we have a stone wall so the color blends well.
We just installed it about 3 weeks ago, so I can't tell much about the durability. I hope it's a long one :)
I tried uploading a picture (I am not sure it worked), so you could see how beautiful it looks. I think the flames look very real,especially if you turn off the lights in the room. We had it installed by our contractor who finished our basement, and he liked it a lot too, now he wants to take pictures so he can showcase his finished work.

The house we purchased did not have a fireplace, but since that was the only item that was on our wish list we couldn't have, we decided to buy it. We wanted to have a transitional style, so we went for this electric fireplace. We purchased Air Stone, (Lowes), and a mantel, (Home Depot), and it turned out to be an amazing accent to our living room. We get tons of compliments, and it is so cozy! There is no thermostat, but with the remote control, we aren't finding it to be an issue.

We just got it in so it has not been installed yet, but we did turn it on to see how it looked. I was very pleased. We tried both the crystals & the fake logs and we liked the fake logs best. It has a great 3d effect. You can't beat the price & look of this one. I searched for a long time and every other electric fireplace I found in this size & shape was closer to $1000 or over. We even turned on the heat and I think that's going to be a nice feature in the winter. I'm not sure if it will heat the room, but I'll update the review once it's in & we've been using it. I took a video of it while it was sitting on the floor (no glass on) while we were testing fake logs.
UPDATE: 2/22/16 We finally finished the fireplace build and got it all in place (new picture from a few days ago). We used the fireplace some before the rock on the fireplace was installed (put it in termporarily with just the backboard on). Tonight I turn it on & come back and it's off. I tried to turn it on again and it flashes the flames and shuts back off. I did buy the warranty so will update when I figure out what's going on and how it's resolved. Obviously, we bought it first to be sure we built our fireplace with the size in mind so I'm disappointed to already have an issue with it because it looks really cool when it's on. I even enjoy the heat feature because I can stand in front of it for a little warmth.
UPDATE: 4/28/16 The manufacturer of this product is top notch. This should take the fear out of buying one. I called them and they shipped a new unit to me with instructions & shipping label to send the other one back to them. I'm grateful they are more than willing to make sure their customers are happy. It's a win-win!!!

his item arrived on time. Item was well packaged to protect it. I purchased the 50 inch fireplace. The actuall size of the fireplace (burning fire display) is 12 inches tall and 45 inches long.
The fireplace was installed into a false wall. Had to use 2x6 for framing in order to accommodate the depth of the fireplace. It can't be easier to install. Held in by 3 screws on each side. I did not use the screws it came with because the fireplace was placed over stone and the screws weren't long enough to properly hold. Simply plug into outlet and enjoy. The only work is deciding if you want to use the log or crystal rocks for display. And having to either out crystal rocks or the log.
Easy control remote and easy to use panel on the unit. You are able to run the fire place without the actual heater. I purchased this more for aesthetics. I sure wouldn't use the heater to try and heat my entire house. It would probably take forever and not be cost effective. The heater is very quiet when turned on. You can feel the heater blowing about a foot in a half from the unit when running it. There is a timer to use with the unit. Overall, I really like the look and ease of using the unit.

Buying a product such as this online, just from a picture, is a little daunting. So we headed to a local store to check them out in person. The one they had in stock that was the same size as this one cost $1500, and the flame effect was weak. The salesperson also told us that the heat wasn't good enough to really warm up a room. Since installing a real gas fireplace wasn't an option, we decided to take our chances with this one. Because it was being sold by the manufacturer, we figured if there were problems we'd have a better chance of getting help.
So glad we did! Installation was very easy. The flame effect is very bright and realistic. It has five flame brightness settings, and to be honest I can't tell a big difference between them all, but am happy with even the lightest. I also like that it comes with logs or crystals, and you can change them out whenever you like. The heater works well on the low setting, but when we tried the high setting, it shut off after being on less than a minute. I emailed their customer service and they sent a new one to replace it! Very happy with this purchase!
Update: It's been almost two years now since we installed the replacement unit and it still works great! We use it all the time, with heat and without. Definitely recommend it!

I built an "Entertainment" wall in our master bedroom. This fireplace was the centerpiece. Simple to install (after running a dedicated line to power it) GREAT tech support. I had one small issue after months of use but it turned out to be the batteries in the remote (dummy!) The fireplace warms up our room and provides a very calming ambiance. My wife runs it year-round. Mostly with the heater off. We chose to use the "log" setup instead of the glass rock look. Who knows, we may switch it up in the future.
TIP: I framed my opening to the EXACT specs on the product and it was a very tight fit. The tolerances are not THAT tight so do your self a favor and give yourself about and extra 1/8th or 3/16th of an inch all around to ensure easy installation.
