Super easy to set up, and it seems like it will last a long time. Can't wait to get some sprouts. It's hard to find info on whether or not you can mix pod sets when buying, but it says in the manual that you can grow any pods together as long as the plants have room (it doesn't recommend mixing tomatoes with anything else) I've started to use some basil, and I'm very pleased all around.

So easy to use and I have Basil growing! Instructions are pretty easy to follow. The light has 4 different settings depending on what you need for your growing purpose. There is an indicator when the pot needs more water, it continues to beep until you add the needed water. My basil seeds sprouted in 3 days! They are growing strong and healthy and will soon be able to harvest.

It works great for new seedlings and have no issues this far giftable and simple set up The change I'd make is the grid on the top. Each section should have comb like removal tops ,the squares can't be removed without damaging the plants after growth.

I never take the time to leave reviews but I am completely amazed at the Impact this small light had on my basil so I had to share. Our house doesn’t have a lot of direct sunlight so the colder months make for a really sad Italian with out fresh herbs on hand. I have thrown out a countless number of basil plants after having moved them all over the house trying to find a spot that offered enough sunlight to keep them alive. Just yesterday this plant was completely doubled over and droopy. I had planned to just throw it away and start new ones with this light but since I had the plant thought I would just stick it under there overnight and see if it had any sort of positive impact. Incredibly, the stalks were upright and new leaves have sprouted in under 24 hours. I’m so thrilled to have found this light. It’s shallow so it fits nicely in a corner of the kitchen and we even leave it on at night as sort of a night light for that portion of the house.

This is a unique hydroponic unit, unlike most it has the ability to use soil and vermiculite or just water. It is much smaller than most units which means it has a small footprint and because it is long and narrow, it can set up nicely on the end of a counter up against a wall. It is easy to operate and comes with everything you need to get started except seeds. It's design is very sleek and modern/minimalist. What I don't like about it is the size, the small footprint, although nice really limits the amount you can put in there. Although they show lots of seedlings in there, you will only be able to grow that many if you just plan on starting them there and transplanting them outside. Getting the seedlings out if they are more than a couple of inches can be a challenge without ripping the root system. You could fit two, maybe three plants to maturity depending of course what you are growing. Knowing those limitations and using it accordingly, you will enjoy using the unit. One star off for small size.
