This infrared 1500 watt metal electric patio heater works really well. It has three power settings 500,1000 and 1500 watts. It comes with a remote minus the batteries, this works well for elevated installations. You can get a stand with adjustable height to make it more portable which I will probably get so i can use it in the garage.

I bought this heater mainly for my garage. It gets a little chilly this time of year and this heater is the perfect antidote. It didn't take long to set it up. Once it was together I powered it up and it was warm in the garage in no time. It comes with all the hardware necessary to mount on the telescoping stand or on the wall. I chose the stand since we will also be using it on the patio. I like the convenience of the remote that allows you to adjust the heat and timer settings. We are using this on our patio and it is just enough to heat up the area around by the loveseat. Very happy with it. I wish I could make it just a little lower but I can understand why they might not want you to be able to so I just added another cushion on the loveseat to raise me up a little. I’m only 5’2”. Out on a patio or porch, you can't heat the air. But heaters like this transmit infrared heat and feel like sunshine on a hot day, warming you up just the same. It is a great idea, and can really extend the usable season of your outdoor space. This design comes with a fairly sturdy tripod that allows you to get it up high enough to aim the head down onto people sitting down, and it will warm a reasonably wide area, out to about 15 feet or so. We have it at one end of our outdoor couch and it warms the whole couch pretty well, and keeps the person closest to it quite comfortable even on otherwise chilly spring/fall evenings. It also comes with sturdy hardware if you want to permanently mount it to the wall or ceiling. So I like it and it works quite well, and even includes a little remote control so if you have it mounted somewhere where it is not easy to control directly you can still adjust the output of it and turn it on and off.

Works well. Height is easily adjustable. Remote is a nice feature. Cord is a bit short, so get a sturdy extension if your plug is farther away. Can’t beat the price. Heat output is good but I would love it if it could be either horizontal or vertical. Not exactly the style I was looking for but it will provide some welcome warmth this winter.
