We love it. Was a little hard to assemble. We were missing some of the nuts and bolts. We tried to get in touch with manufacturers and no luck. We had to buy at hardware store. Other then that we are enjoying it very much

SO EASY TO ASSEMBLE
So sturdy!! There was some super heavy wind a few days straight. I heard tree branches going crazy. It made me scared that this would blow over. But it did not even sway in the wind, whatsoever!!
I put this together completely by myself. If you’re pretty handy, you can totally do it.

I had to pay my handyman to assemble it, and, true to other reviews, he had a hard time putting it together. He said that some parts were missing and he got them at Home Depot, also, he had to look up the instructions online because the enclosed instructions were not helpful. His efforts paid off, however, after it has been assembled, the piece stays on and provides good shade to sit on the patio on sunny days.

After reading other reviews about this I hired a handyman to put it together. He did whine and complain a little bit. It took closer to 2 hours to put together, but it looks amazing! There was one spot where the holes were not lined up properly so he had to drill an extra couple holes to make it fit. But since I did not put it together myself, I cannot complain. ;-) For the money it is definitely worth it. No regrets!

I absolutely love this! I read ALL the “issues” before purchasing so I knew what I was getting into. The majority of issues I read were in the assembly (bad instructions or missing pieces) and a comment or two on sturdiness.
So, I bought it- the size and price were perfect for my needs- and I was determined to take my time- piece by piece and read through, organize and assemble- even if it took a few days- because the end justifies the means. And it did.
The pieces were easily identified
The instructions were good- not great- BUT I could follow them- step by step
The pieces and parts- I was missing 2 small screws and 1 washer- but I was able to buy those at a local hardware store.
My husband and I took our time and built it. We opted to drill into our patio rather than use the stakes.
The only part of the directions that was hard to follow- how the pulley works but reading the directions and then taking our time- we got it.

I was pleasantly surprised how well this went together! All holes lined up just fine. Follow the directions and you'll have no issues, well exept for one... The directions show installing all cover rods prior to installing the cover, but I assure you, don't do it, the rods make the cover too heavy to manage! Install the end rod to the frame first, then the other rods one at a time! Easy!

I chose this style because I liked the canopy and option of open or close. I installed on my deck and was easy to assemble but need two people. I feel it was a good value for the cost.

I have a tree that constantly drops orange petals on the ground so I bought the pergola so that I could use the space under the tree without dealing with petals and bird crap all the time. I like the look of it. It does what it was intended to do.

So glad we bought this because it looks amazing and it looks like it is a part of the house. We absolutely love the results but we questioned whether or not we were ever going to finish assembling this monster. The actual product arrived in great shape with all the parts needed but the instructions were just plain awful.

I love the nice boost it gives my backyard! Seems very sturdy. My concern when ordering it was how it will handle high winds but now that I feel how sturdy it is, I'm confident it will stand strong and sturdy with the canopy tied closed. No parts were missing but a couple parts did have a few minor dents from shipping. No big deal. My major problem is the instructions. There are so many steps they cram into a single step and it's nearly impossible to see the exact fine details to be aware of when assembling. They can save installer time and headache if they'd put more effort into the important details to make sure the installer is aware. More time was spent going backwards and fixing little mistakes that could've been easily shown in the instructions. The design team should really consider it and stand out from the rest. Almost all canopy reviews of every brand I researched before making my purchase had the same complaints. BUT the most important thing is the product itself and this canopy I highly recommend.

This pergola arrived a little dented. Contacted their customer service and they responded quickly. We are very happy with the sturdiness and looks of this pergola. Very good value for the money. Excellent customer service. Fairly easy to assemble. Definitely a two person job.

You'll need two people to assemble this to hold it up, but following the instructions, I had this up in 2 hours. Works great. Overall it looks nice and is pretty sturdy.

Retractable cover is perfect shade on sunny days and easy to retract on windy days. I assembled it all by myself and only needed help with installing the four uprights. The only adjustment I needed to make was to the strap that holds the retracted cover in place. It easily slips out on windy days so I use a bungee cord. I also fastened it to deck with pole barn screws. Not sure I'm supposed to install on a deck but I wanted the shade on hot sunny days. Love it!

I love this pergola!! I took a chance on this purchase because there were no reviews when I placed my order and I'm glad I did. I paid someone to put it together after taking one look at all the pieces, there were just too many screws! It took 2 people close to 2hrs to assemble. I feel like its pretty sturdy, especially since I drilled the posts to my concrete patio (that part I did do). The retractable canopy is the best part. So if your on the fence you won't be disappointed and its definitely worth the money in my opinion!

It looks great once we got it up. However, we are a little nervous if we have some high winds. Love the retractable roof aspect. Only problem we did notice is there are no replacement canopy for the retractable portion if something happens to it.

Although the directions could definitely be a little easier to follow this Patio Gazebo turned out to be just as pictured and functions as we had anticipated. It's light enough to move around and we also purchased sandbags to attach to the legs to hold it in place on windy days since we can't easily secure it to our concrete deck. It does come with fittings and hardware to attach to a wooden deck. It seems like a good sturdy value for the money.

This pergola is great. Retract the top when you want sun, put in place for shade. Easy to attach to patio with concrete screws too. I may attach a longer cord to the ties so I can use it to hold it open in case of storms and wind but a bungee works for now. Drain holes in each section for rain to get through when you do leave it pulled across are nice so no pooling and fabric “staining”.

What i disliked was there were no written instructions only pictures. A friend put it together for me. But i absolutely love it. I would love to be able to contact the company to see about getting an extra cover for it. It seems very sturdy and easy open and close the shade. The plastic rings seem a little sketchy but I will eventually replace with shower curtain rings. Altogether i am very pleased.

I was able to build the pieces and attach most of the structure by myself. It does require 2 more people to hold together as final assembly is done and 4 people to move, one on each leg. You will need 2 hours of help for final parts to attach and hang the canopy. Do yourself a favor and get a socket wrench and do not screw too tightly. The directions are really, really bad and you will have to redo much of your work as you see it coming together. The beams are solid but the brackets are soft. The 4 inside brackets bent and 1 broke as we put in to place. Update, parts were quickly replaced and it looks great. Thank you.

This is a comparatively lower priced item, so I didn't have extreme expectations on quality.
On the plus - All the parts were clearly marked, so it was fairly simple to assemble.
A negative was that I was disappointed in how poorly it was packaged. The item arrived with substantial dents on several posts and trim.
We'll see how long it lasts.

Really needed a sturdy shade that looked good in the back yard. Definitely need more than 2 people to fully assemble. I was disappointed that a few pieces were dented right out of the box. It did hold VERY well with a few thunderstorms we had right after it was put up.
