About Magnification

The focal length of the eyepiece, combined with the focal length of the telescope, determine the magnification power.
To calculate the power of your telescope with any particular eyepiece, simply divide the focal length of the telescope (400mm) by the focal length of the eyepiece (indicated in “mm” on the eyepiece collar).
For example, when you use the eyepiece H20mm with this telescope, the magnification will be 20X.

Erecting Eyepiece/ Barlow Lens/ Moon Mirror

Normally, a telescope offers a upside down image, the 1.5X Erecting eyepiece not only increases the magnification of telescope 1.5 times but also correct the direction of the image.
The 3X Barlow lens can triple the magnification factor provided by the telescope.
Because there is great deal of reflected glare when the full moon is observed, the addition of the moon mirror will remove this glare and make it possible to sharpen surface details. The moon mirror is screwed into the eyepiece when you use it.

How to set up and use?

Open the Tripod.
Screw the Aiming control into the tripod mount.
Place the Telescope tube onto the tripod mount and lock the tube.
Locate the Finder scope onto the Telescope tube.
Insert the Diagonal mirror into the Focus tube.
Put the Eyepiece into the Diagonal mirror.
Adjust the Focus knob to view the clear image.

I ordered this telescope for my 6 yr old son and he loves it! He's very interested in the solar system and knows all about each planet. I have a larger telescope but it's too heavy and complex for him to use by himself. This Telmu telescope is very light and easy for him to carry but has a strong scope. The viewfinder has crosshairs so it's quick and easy to locate your target and quickly zoom in. It's clear, you can see the details on the moon's craters and he was even able to find Jupiter and it's four Galilean moons all by himself. It's a great price for the hours of fun and star gazing!

Love this. I've wanted one forever but couldnt justify spending $300+ for a professional one. This is a perfect telescope for beginners. Definitely if you've got young kids you can relax knowing if they break it you arent out a small fortune. Comes with two power lenses, adjusts to 3 different heights. It even has a doodad you can stick on so you can use your phone camera to view with and take pictures through the scope.Has a little level measuring tool on the side to make sure the tripod is level. Super easy to assemble, although if you're taking it out somewhere in the dark it might be best to put all the pieces together before you step out. When you're done with it it fits easily back into the backpack it comes with.

This is the most difficult item to assemble with the absolute worst diagram/instructions EVER. There aren’t even any YouTube videos for it. After almost 2 hours at a rest stop on a road trip at night, I give up. Maybe I can get someone to assemble it for me but this was brutally impossible... update... I got it assembled... it’s great.

Finally, clear weather let me check the telescope. It is a pretty good device for beginner users. Two lenses are included: 25 mm and 6 mm. Both of them work correctly. I was in the park of the town center. So, the light didn't allow me to see Mars very well. But, I could see the Moon's surface perfectly. However, I spent some time to adjust the focus. Anyway, It was really amazing.

Great birthday gift for my son. Keep in mind it's a beginner model, and inexpensive, but works well enough, since my son is 6 now. The carrying case is awesome, and everything was easy to assemble. My only gripe is the sky finder scope is off, even after adjusting. Makes it more difficult to line up. The 25x lens was great to find planets and stars. 6x lens made it so we could see the rings on Saturn! It's very touchy though at that magnification, and even after just 5 minutes, Saturn had moved enough in the sky to be completely out of view, so had to readjust again. Quick to store. Will update when I try to use the cell phone attachment and add pics.

This appears to be a great telescope -- especially for the price! My husband and I are amateurs. But we wanted our new telescope to be good enough to be worth the trouble of ordering, assembling and viewing through it. We are happy so far -- although we are still novices -- so we haven't yet found Saturn's rings. Maybe tonight! There isn't exactly an assembly guide. There's just a picture with the parts labeled. My husband was able to assemble it, though, and figure out how to extend the legs, etc. It seems to me to be an instrument with some amazing technology that did not cost very much money! It was a surprise birthday present for my husband. And it was a hit!

I have to say for a beginners telescope this is a good purchase! I was skeptical about the phone piece but it actually holds my phone steady, my only complain is with the base that holds the telescope (not the tripod) at times it can feel loose but u guess it may just be me, my son and I finally were able to capture a photo of the moon and he was very excited! It's a good telescope for beginners like me. I've always been keen on exploring space and that's exactly what I need.
